Faculty Council
The faculty is vested with primary governance responsibility for academic and
scholarly activities and faculty personnel matters within the University.
In addition, the faculty have participatory or advisory responsibilities for
many other University-wide issues.
The authority of the University faculty
to carry out its responsibilities is delegated to the Faculty Council.
The structure and responsibilities of the Faculty Council are more fully described
in the first section of the Faculty
Handbook.
The next meeting of the Faculty Council is Wednesday, 21 May 2008, from 2-5:00 p.m. (LPC, Student Center 220). All Faculty Council meeting agendas are posted under Agenda (to the right); materials for the meetings are posted under Meeting Materials, a few days prior to the meeting date. Both are also available on Campus Connection's News and Events Calendar.
Faculty Council meetings are open to all members of the DePaul community. An elected Faculty Council representative who cannot attend a meeting should ask an Alternate representative from that college to attend instead.
