Allstate Arena Skyline Room West Gate When your name is called, proceed across the stage at a dignified pace. You will receive a diploma cover from the president of DePaul University, Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, C.M.. Please note that your diploma will not be included in the diploma cover you receive at the ceremony — it will be mailed to you 4-6 weeks after graduation, after your credits have been verified. Please see Preparing to Graduate for more information.

Please demonstrate respect for your fellow graduates and plan to stay for the duration of your ceremony. Commencement is expected to last approximately 1½ to 2 hours.

Following the ceremony, you will exit the Allstate Arena through the Skyline Room to return your cap and gown before leaving the ceremony. It is your sole responsibility to return the regalia before leaving the ceremony. If your cap and gown are not returned in good condition, the costs for these items will be charged to your account. Academic regalia can cost $300-800 depending on the degree, so be sure to return your regalia promptly and in good condition.
